WHAT  GOES  ON :

          Each month – except for the holiday months of July and  

          August – there has been an opportunity for an informal

          get-together at O’Carolan’s Irish Pub. It was always on the

          first Thursday of the month.

          In May 2007 it was changed to the first Friday of the month,

          but that did not suit members, so the monthly pub drink has

          been restored to the first Thursday of each month.

              Among events which have been arranged in recent years,

           there have been:

              O Guy Fawkes Night with a bonfire and fireworks

              O Burns Night - haggis and whisky tasting

              O An authors’ forum and aperitifs on Shakespeare’s birthday

              O Quiz evenings (with beer, wine and nibbles)

              O Visits to vineyards

              O Easter Egg hunts (with traditional races)

              O Guided tours of Montpellier and its museums

              O Country walks

             O Guided tours of the Botanical Gardens

              O Twice monthly meetings of a language exchange group

              O Bowling evenings

              O Lunches and dinners with an invited speaker

               Events planned have reflected the interests of

            members, but members can always suggest new events or

            activities.
